On 15th November 2015, the NSS Volunteers of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology had organized an Anti-plastic campaign and Tree plantation program in Kaliyappakoundanputhur under the guidance of NSS programme officers Dr. V. N. Vijayakumar and Dr. R. Praveena. The campaign was started at 9.00a.m. The NSS programme officers inaugurated the campaign by planting a sapling in the backyard of Government Primary School, Kaliyappakoundanputhur. The sapling included tree varieties like pungamaram, sevadal, neem tree, peepal tree, badam tree etc. The volunteers were split into 8 separate batches and involved in orientation which included distributing sapling to the villagers along with the dengue and anti-plastic awareness. Simultaneously volunteers removed the plastic on the way and made the surroundings a plastic-free environment. Also, volunteers were involved in removing the unwanted bushes inside and outside the school. Entirely 84 saplings were distributed by the volunteers and the people were encouraged to safeguard the plants. The campaign came to end at 2.00p.m. Totally 82 volunteers were involved in this campaign.

On August 17, 2015 the volunteers of National Service Scheme of Bannari Amman institute of technology visited the government hospital, Sathyamangalam. The volunteers comprising of 60 members along with NSS programme officers, Dr.V.N.VijayaKumar and Dr.R.Praveena, reached the government hospital by 4.30pm. NSS volunteers created awareness about breast feeding to the young mothers and also the hospital campus was cleaned by the volunteers. The event ended by 6.30pm.

CLEAN INDIA (1.11.2014)

On 1st  November 2014, the YRC volunteers of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology had undertaken cleanliness drive at Naalroad and KN palayam Government school  .Around 150 YRC Volunteers were split into batches for plastic & waste  collection and promoting Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan “Clean India” campaign among school student and people.
