Program Outcomes (POs)

PO 1

Graduates will be able to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and various engineering fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering to understand the real world problems involving product/process/services.

PO 2

Graduates will be able to review the literature for identified real world problems and analysis the findings to formulate conclusions in terms of mathematics and fundamental sciences.

PO 3

Graduates will be able to relate and apply the formulate conclusions into the real world problems to carry out the root cause analysis.

PO 4 Graduates will be able to provide design solutions to real world problems based on root cause analysis report by considering environment, cultural, societal, safety, ergonomical and legal aspects.
PO 5 Graduates will be able to assess the design solutions based on manufacturing, technical, economical and commercial viability.
PO 6 Graduates will be able to validate   the design solution by designing an experimental setup/prototype with appropriate scaling and designing the experiments/trials using conventional /soft computing techniques.
PO 7 Graduates will be able to model, simulate and analysis the design solution using suitable computer tools.
PO 8 Graduates will be able to select appropriate manufacturing/fabrication technique to execute the design solution and convert the design into real world model with understanding of limitation in assembly and transportation.
PO 9 Graduates will be able to perform trials runs/experiments on the physical model and record its readings/ performance and validate the finding with simulation results.
PO 10 Graduates will be able to Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO 11 Graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
PO 12 Graduates will be able to apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
PO 13 Graduates will be able to communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
