Laboratory

  • The objective of the lab is to expertise the students about DC machines, Transformers, synchronous machines and induction motors and gives them experimental skills. The experiments conducted on different types of machines enable students to practically see the operation and characteristics of the machines and their suitability for different applications. The lab covers an area of 45.6*145.6 sq. feet.

  • The aim of setting this laboratory is to demonstrate students in the concepts and techniques of Electronic devices & systems and to carry out cutting-edge research in this area. The laboratory experiments are carried out using semiconductor devices like diodes, MOSFETs and BJTs. This lab with a effective area of 44.3m X 13.9m employs learn-by-doing approaches which emphasize the hands-on-experimental experiences to students.

  • The objective of the Microprocessor Based System Design laboratory is to enhance the students programming skill on 8085 microprocessor for different applications. In this laboratory, the students undergo training on interfacing of input/output devices like Analog to Digital Converter, Digital to Analog converter,Serial Communication, Keyboard and 7 Segment Display and Traffic Light Controller with 8085. Microprocessor Based System Design Laboratory has been established in the year 2014 with a built up area of 615.77 square meters.

In this laboratory, the students undergo training on interfacing of input/output devices like Analog to Digital Converter, Digital to Analog converter, Serial Communication, Keyboard and 7 Segment Display and Traffic Light Controller with 8051. Embedded Systems Based System Design Laboratory has been established in the year 2014 with a built up area of 615.77 square meter.

  • The main objective of electrical drives lab is to familiarize the students with latest converters based on power semiconductor devices. This provides the basic practical knowledge in the application of power electronics in electrical drives and machines. The drives lab with area of 69.9 sq.m. comprises of efficient and high performance modern DC and AC motor drives which enable the students to acquire and develop hardware skills in accordance with industrial experience.

  • The objective of establishing this laboratory is to provide the fundamental knowledge about electric circuits, magnetic circuits, semiconductor switching devices and its applications to all first year students. The students will be able to understand the bread board connections, various parts of DC motor and logic gate functions. This laboratory is established for first year engineering students under layer learning concept. Basics of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Laboratory have been established with a buildup area of around 76.6 Sq. Meter.

  • The objective of establishing this Home appliances laboratory is to provide skill training to the students for performing maintenance, diligent services and repair work in all home appliances belonging to different brands. The students will be able to fix all defective parts and glitch-prone machines into a remarkable working condition, through their dedicated, efficient and effective working methods. Home appliances Laboratory has been established in the year 2016 with a build up area of around 1312 Sq.ft.

  • The objective of this computer centre is to provide computational environment for the academic and research scholars of the Institute. The centre is enhanced with various technical softwares like MATLAB, POWER WORLD, DIgSILENT, PSIM, PSCAD to carry out design and simulation of Electrical and Electronics circuits. The centre is equipped with high configuration systems which help to conduct training for faculty and student. The Electrical and Electronics computer centre was established in the year 2001.

  • The objective of this laboratory is to learn the measurement of various physical quantities using analog and digital instruments. In this laboratory, the students will investigate the accuracy and precision of various measuring instruments through calibration and measures the value of Resistor, capacitor and Inductor through AC and DC bridges. This laboratory is established in the year 1996 with a built up area of 75.4 square meters.
