About the Institute

    Bannari Amman Institute of Technology is an autonomous, self-financing engineering college approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Located on the banks of the river Bhavani, BIT offers 12 UG, 2 PG and MBA programmes, and provides Ph.D. programmes across all departments. The institute has well-established academic and research facilities with many state-of-the-art initiatives. The campus has excellent infrastructure built in collaboration with industry and research partners. The spacious and earth-connected buildings with their landscaped courtyards and pathways are designed to emphasize business ethics and the characteristics of an excellent learning centre. The campus houses well-planned academic blocks, computer centres, lecture halls, libraries, laboratories, conference rooms, staff quarters, residence halls and student centres.

About the Department

    The Department of Biotechnology was established in 2002with a commitment to producing highly skilled graduatesthrough programs such as B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. under Anna University, Chennai. The B.Tech.Biotechnology program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. The department has a team of well-qualified faculty members with expertise across various disciplines. The department boasts state-of-the-art laboratories that support teaching and research in diverse fields, including Microbial Biotechnology,Computational Biology, Biomaterials, Nanobiotechnology,and Bioprocesses. It has received funding of approximately ₹5 crores from organizations such as AICTE, DRDO, DST, SERB, DBT, and TNSCST. The department also spearheads the Technology Business Incubator (BIT-TBI), a joint venture between the Government of India and BIT, which encourages young entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas into commercial products. Recognized as a research center by Anna University, Chennai, the department currently hosts nine scholars pursuing doctoral studies in emerging research areas.

About the Conference – IBSF’25

It serves as a platform for knowledge exchange among young minds in engineering and science, fostering the development of innovative applications for emerging technologies. These efforts benefit various industrial sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food,agriculture, climate change, environmental biotechnology, waste management, bioremediation, industrial microbiology, and the conservation of natural resources. Additionally, the program tackles the critical issue of meeting current energy demands by encouraging the adoption of green technologies.The conference provides researchers, academicians,industrialists, and students an opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research, connect with peers in the scientific community, and stay updated on groundbreaking advancements in these dynamic fields. Furthermore, the proposed national conference aligns with the PM Green Mission’s objectives, focusing on preserving and protecting India’s environment. It also supports the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Clean India initiatives, inspiring citizens to prioritize hygiene and sanitation for a healthier, cleaner nation.

Conference Objectives

    To establish a forum where researchers can share technical information and present high-quality research outcome related to sustainable environmental practices.To focus on the specific area of biodegradable waste management, enabling researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore new approaches to tackle this critical environmental challenge.To create awareness and understanding about the importance of utilizing green energy derived from renewable resources,emphasizing its role in achieving sustainable lifecycles and reducing environmental impact.

Guidelines for Abstract Preparation

    Abstracts are invited for oral, poster & prototype presentations. Participants are requested to send their abstracts of any topics covered in the theme of this conference.

    The abstract should be a maximum of 300 words covering all essential information typed in English with Times New Roman font (Title: 12 points, bold, Name and address along with e-mail: 10 points, Text: 12 points). The name of the presenting author should be indicated by an asterisk. The abstract should be provided with the theme to which it belongs at the top right of the abstract page. Abstracts will be considered for the conference only after the payment of the registration fee. Acceptance of the abstract will be communicated to the corresponding /presenting author through email.

Publications

  • Selected Research articles will be published in referred journals listed under Scopus (Biochemical and Cellular Archives & RJPT).
  • All accepted articles will be published in IBSF’25 conference proceedings.
  • Publications charges applicable as per journals & conditions.
  • Editor’s decision is final for acceptance & publication of article in relevant journals.
